One day all the employees reached the office and they saw a big advice on the door on which it was written: "Yesterday the person who has been
hindering your growth in this company passed away. We invite you to join the funeral in the room that has been prepared in the gym".

In the beginning, they all got sad for the death of one of their colleagues, but after a while they started getting curious to know who was that man
who hindered the growth of his colleagues and the company itself.

The excitement in the gym was such that security agents were ordered to control the crowd within the room. The more people reached the coffin, the more the excitement heated up. Everyone thought: "Who is this guy who was hindering my progress? Well, at least he died!".

One by one the thrilled employees got closer to the coffin, and when they looked inside it they suddenly became speechless. They stood nearby the coffin, shocked and in silence, as if someone had touched the deepest part of their soul.

There was a mirror inside the coffin: everyone who looked inside it could see himself. There was also a sign next to the mirror that said: "There is
only one person who is capable to set limits to your growth: it is YOU."

So my dear friends, You are the only person who can revolutionize your life.

Earth Hour is an international event that asks households and businesses to turn off their lights and non-essential electrical appliances for one hour on the evening of 29 March at 8 pm local time until 9 pm to promote electricity conservation and thus lower carbon emissions. It may also help reduce light pollution, and in 2008, coincides with the beginning of National Dark Sky Week in the USA.

It is promoted by World Wildlife Fund Australia (WWF), an environmental lobby group, and the Sydney Morning Herald. The first Earth Hour was held in Sydney, Australia between 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm on 31 March 2007. The 2007 Earth Hour is estimated to have cut Sydney's mains electricity consumption by between 2.1% and 10.2% for that hour, with as many as 2.2 million people taking part. Earth Hour 2008 marks the first anniversary of the event with many partner cities and individuals around the world participating.

Earth Hour 2008
Strong backing from the City of Sydney and its Lord Mayor, Clover Moore, helped to make Earth Hour 2008 an international event. The official Earth Hour website has confirmed that over 286,000 people and over 20,000 businesses have signed up for the event as of 1pm GMT 0.
As of 30 March, over 11,900 businesses and nearly 300,000 individuals had registered to indicate their intention to participate.

Colosseum darkened for Earth HourAccording to WWF Thailand, Bangkok decreased electricity usage by 73.34 megawatts, which is equivalent to 41.6 tonnes of carbon dioxide. The Bangkok Post gave different figures of 165 megawatts and 102 tonnes of carbon dioxide. This was noted to be significantly less than a similar campaign initiated by Bangkok's City Hall last year in May where 530 megawatts were saved and 143 tonnes of carbon dioxide emission was cut.Toronto saved 900 megawatts of electricity. Comparing to the energy demand just before Earth Hour started, 5% of electricity was saved. 8.7% was saved if measured against a typical March Saturday night. 有個正緩緩彎下腰，想去撿掉在地上的一塊餅乾吃。

Blu-Ray vs. HD-DVD

Blu-Ray and HD-DVD are two new optical storage technologies that fight as the successor of DVD. In this article you will learn everything you need to know about these technologies, including the motivations that lead to the creation of both. Is it really true that DVD has its days counted?

With the introduction of high-definition TV (HDTV) DVD storage capacity showed to be insufficient to this application. DVD supports a resolution up to 720x480 pixels, while HDTV works with resolutions as high as 1920x1080 pixels. Just to give you an idea, two hours of high-definition video with data compression requires 22 GB of storage space. Keep in mind that the maximum capacity of a DVD is of 17 GB, if a DVD-18 disc is used (keep in mind that this is a dual-sided dual-layer disc).

So how to allow a higher data storage capacity in order to support high-definition contents? Here is where two DVD successor candidates enter in scene: Blu-Ray and HD-DVD.

In fact a Blu-Ray or a HD-DVD is a DVD disc with a higher storage capacity, allowing you to store high-definition contents. It is important to remark that the main motivation to the creation of a DVD successor was the introduction of HDTV, which requires a higher disc storage capacity, feature a regular DVD cannot provide.

But how a Blu-Ray or a HD-DVD disc is able to store more data than a DVD disc?

Blu-Ray technology was developed in February 2002 to be DVD’s successor by a consortium made by companies that include Apple, Dell, Hitachi, HP, JVC, LG, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, Pioneer, Philips, Samsung, Sharp, Sony, TDK and Thomson. HD-DVD, on the other hand, was created by Toshiba and recently got support from Microsoft, HP and Intel.

Both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD discs have the same physical size of DVD discs (and CDs), with a diameter of 12 cm (120 mm, around 4 ¾”).

The key to both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD technologies is the use of a blue-purple laser to read and write data from the disc. This laser has a smaller wavelength compared to the red laser used by DVD players, allowing a higher recording density.

During the recording of a Blu-Ray or HD-DVD disc a high-power blue-purple laser is used to burn pits on the disc surface. The areas than weren’t burned are known as lands.

During the reading of a Blue-Ray or HD-DVD disc a blue-purple laser with lower intensity is thrown on the disc surface. When the light reaches a pit it is reflected back with a lower intensity compared when it hit a land. As the pit height corresponds to ¼ of the laser wavelength, the reflected light reaches the photosensor found on the Blu-Ray or HD-DVD player half wavelength dephased (¼ on its way in + ¼ on its way back = ½). This is how the Blu-Ray or HD-DVD player can recognize if an area is a pit or a land: the amount of light reflected by a land is higher than the amount reflected by a pit.

You could think that each spot where the light is reflected with a higher intensity (land) equals to a “1” bit while each spot where the light is reflected with a lower intensity (pit) equals to a “0” bit. However Blu-Ray and HD-DVD players use the transition between pits and lands or lands and pits to represent a “1” bit and the absence of such transitions to represent a “0” bit.

Each bit read this way is called an optical bit. They still do not represent directly a data “0” or “1”. A process known as modulation is still required to convert optical bits into data bits. HD-DVD uses a modulation technique called ETM (Eight to Twelve Modulation), which converts each group of eight data bits (one byte) into 12 optical bits. Blue-Ray uses a modulation technique called 17PP that converts a variable number of optical bits in data bits based on rules defined by the modulation algorithm.

Just like what happens on CDs and DVDs, on Blu-Ray and HD-DVD discs pits and lands are organized into a single spiral track that starts at the center of the disc and ends at the border of the disc. The smaller the distance between the spiral tracks, more data can be stored on the disc. On Blu-Ray discs this distance is smaller than on HD-DVD discs (0.32 µm vs. 0.40 µm, respectively).

Also, on Blu-Ray discs each pit measures 0.13 µm, while on HD-DVD discs they measure 0.20 µm.

But why do HD-DVD discs use bigger pits compared to Blu-Ray if both use a laser with the same wavelength? The answer is the distance between the recording layer and the lacquer layer. On Blu-Ray discs the recording layer is only 0.1 mm distant from the lacquer layer, which allows a higher recording density (HD-DVD discs use the same distance as DVDs, 0.6 mm). On the other hand Blu-Ray discs must be handled more carefully, as any scratch on its surface can easily reach the recording layer, compromising the recorded data. That is why some Blu-Ray discs come inside a caddy in order to avoid physical damage.

As we can see, technologically speaking Blu-Ray and HD-DVD are very similar, the main difference between the two being the storage capacity.

A single-layer Blu-Ray disc can hold up to 25 GB, while a single-layer HD-DVD disc can hold up to "only" 15 GB. A dual-layer Blu-Ray disc can store up to 54 GB, while a dual-layer HD-DVD can store only up to 30 GB.

We still don’t know which format will be DVD’s successor. All we know is that still a fierce fight between the two standard, but on the storage size Blu-Ray has a better advantage over HD-DVD, while on the cost side HD-DVD is the winner, as HD DVD discs are cheaper to manufacture.

As we saw, Blu-Ray discs have a higher storage capacity than HD-DVD, even though Blu-Ray discs are more expensive. A single-layer Blu-Ray disc can hold up to 25 GB while the same disc using HD-DVD technology can store only 15 GB. A dual-layer Blu-Ray discs can store up to 54 GB, while the same disc using HD-DVD technology can store only up to 30 GB.

We are facing today the same infamous war between VHS and Betamax we’ve seen happening during the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. Which leads us to an interesting fact: Sony doesn’t want “adult” movies on Blu-Ray format, the same restriction Betamax format had, and some critics say that this restriction was one of the reasons of Betamax’s demise. But since Sony isn't alone at the Blu-Ray consortium, we will see "adult" movies for this format as well, but it seems that producers at this industry prefer HD-DVD format over Blu-Ray.

In terms of compatibility, both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD players will be capable of playing CDs and DVDs, but it won’t be possible to read a Blu-Ray disc on a HD-DVD player and vice-versa (it is technically possible to create a player that can read both formats, but it will probably cost almost twice, as it will need two separated circuits inside the unit, one for each technology).

For now DVD discs continue to be a good choice for the average Joe. If you are not a technology freak, wait until to see who will win this battle: Blu-Ray, HD-DVD or none of them.

Ophcrack is an open source (GPL license) program that cracks Windows LM hashes using rainbow tables. The program includes the ability to import the hashes from a variety of formats, including dumping directly from the SAM files of Windows. There is also a LiveCD version which automates the retrieval, decryption, and cracking of passwords from a Windows system.

Rainbow tables for LM hashes of alphanumeric passwords are provided for free by the developers. These tables can crack 99.9% of alphanumeric passwords of up to 14 characters in usually a few seconds, and at most a few minutes. Larger rainbow tables (for LM hashes of passwords with all printable characters, including symbols and space) are available for purchase from Objectif Securité.

Starting with version 2.3, Ophcrack also cracks NT hashes. This is necessary if generation of the LM hash is disabled (this is default on Windows Vista), or if the password is longer than 14 characters (in which case the LM hash is not stored).

Standard Operating Procedures

An SOP is a set of instructions or steps someone follows to complete a job safely, with no adverse impact on the environment (and which meets regulatory compliance standards), and in a way that maximizes operational and production requirements. Write SOPs for any processes an individual or group performs: unloading raw materials, manufacturing products, shutting down an operation, repairing a faulty electrical circuit, and thousands of other workplace activities.
Who should you write an SOP for?
Write different SOPs for people who perform jobs by themselves, people who work together on a job, and people who supervise other people doing a job. The primary audience for an SOP, however, is the person who will perform a particular job. Consider such factors as the age, education, knowledge, skills, experience and training of a person who will perform a job, and the "social culture" or work history within which the individual works. Some work cultures disdain SOPs so you must work to overcome rejection.

SOPs also can be used by managers, government safety inspectors, environmental regulators, lawyers, engineers, planners, vendors, contractors and customers. Sometimes the same SOP material is used to write a description of how a job is done—a process—which can be useful if a company representative must explain operations to the media and public.

When should you write an SOP?
Write (and test) SOPs for all jobs before a job is begun. Test SOPs before putting them into final application. Revise SOPs after an on-the-job trial. Also revise SOPs when any changes or modifications are made to equipment, machinery, buildings or other structures, or procedures within the immediate work area that might affect performance of a job or the "environment" in which it is performed. For example, if a change in storage location of toxic chemicals is made, then an SOP for fork-lift truck operation in the vicinity of the chemicals should be reviewed and revised, and all personnel should be trained in the revisions.

You can't write SOPs for every job overnight, so set priorities. Write SOPs when new equipment or processes create new work situations. Write or rewrite SOPs when new information suggests benefits from modifying work practices to improve performance. Accident investigations might show you that procedural, safety and environmental guidelines are insufficient, incomplete, or even missing for certain jobs or parts of jobs.

Systematically update all safety and environmental guidelines by asking workers to evaluate existing SOPs, work practice guidelines and other documents that contain work, safety and environment guidelines. Then rank these jobs as to which should be revised first through last. These procedures could be revised, perhaps by the groups that ranked them.

How long should an SOP be?
SOP writers often don't know how long an SOP should be. Sometimes writers are pressured by operations supervisors to "make it short" rather than comprehensive. Clearly these supervisors don't understand the purposes and audiences an SOP serves.

SOPs can be either long, short or both. Because SOPs are used for a variety of reasons and audiences, they first must be comprehensive, which means they are as long as necessary to cover a job. For long SOPs or for jobs performed infrequently, it pays to keep the long-form SOP handy. Once an employee is familiar with a process, he or she will most likely be able to perform a series of short SOP steps from memory. These steps can be written as a short-form SOP. If someone is going to use a short-form SOP, it should be prepared after a full long-form SOP has been tested and approved and should be handed out after an employee has passed the appropriate training.

Keep in mind that the average person is uncomfortable following a long list of steps for the following reasons:

A long list looks formidable, which makes the task daunting and tedious for many people who then don't want to perform the steps.
A long list is difficult for your eyes to follow. You forget where you are on the list and forgetting leads to mistakes.
A long list scares people and makes them nervous or anxious to "get it over with."
A long list can hide steps that should be done with caution.
A long list is difficult for writers to write while ensuring that the step sequence is clear.
The solution to SOPs that involve a long list of steps is to break the steps into logical sections of about 10 steps per section, such as "Getting ready for the process," "Initial steps," "Final steps."

Who should write SOPs?
Often SOPs are written by one person, as described at the beginning of this article, and are reviewed by one or more others, one of whom may approve a final version.

Ideally, SOPs should be written by teams that include some or all of the following people:

those who will perform the job
those who will perform maintenance on equipment involved in an SOP
engineers or others who design equipment and processes
technical writers
safety personnel
environmental personnel
equipment manufacturers
Team writing accomplishes several goals besides just producing an SOP:

It ensures that comprehensive knowledge acquired from different perspectives is applied to the SOP.
It creates "buy-in," which increases the likelihood that the SOPs will be implemented under the guidance of the writers.
It trains trainers the people who write the SOP. Having participated in in-depth decision making about the SOP, writers know it intimately and are more likely to be effective trainers (coaches).
It involves people from diverse parts of the operations as a whole, which helps ensure that when new and modified processes are implemented, someone goes back and updates the SOP.
It encourages employees to follow the SOP and listen to the coaches because the employees know that the writers invested time and effort on behalf of the employees.
Writing teams do not have to sit together to write. They can write or edit parts of an SOP independently and then one person can combine the individual contributions. Once combined, circulate the draft SOP for review among the writers before editing a final draft for review by supervisors and subsequent supervised testing by employees. Ideally a writing team should meet at least once in the beginning of a project to establish writing objectives, targets and responsibilities, but then can work semi-independently with one person serving as coordinator.

Most importantly, SOPs should be reviewed by several people qualified to evaluate the SOP in terms of its completeness and clarity of safety, environmental and operational components. In keeping with the intent of various International Standards Organization (ISO) standards, these reviews should be based on the maximum safety, health and environmental considerations, not merely "what the law requires. "

The incidence of prostate cancer is much lower in Asian than Western populations. Given that environmental factors such as dietary habits may play a major role in the causation of prostate cancer and the high consumption of green tea in Asian populations, this low incidence may be partly due to the effects of green tea. The JPHC Study (Japan Public Health Center-based Prospective Study) was established in 1990 for cohort I and in 1993 for cohort II. The subjects were 49,920 men aged 40–69 years who completed a questionnaire that included their green tea consumption habit at baseline and were followed until the end of 2004. During this time, 404 men were newly diagnosed with prostate cancer, of whom 114 had advanced cases, 271 were localized, and 19 were of an undetermined stage. Green tea was not associated with localized prostate cancer. However, consumption was associated with a dose-dependent decrease in the risk of advanced prostate cancer. The multivariate relative risk was 0.52 (95% confidence interval: 0.28, 0.96) for men drinking 5 or more cups/day compared with less than 1 cup/day (ptrend = 0.01). Green tea may be associated with a decreased risk of advanced prostate cancer.

　　《长江七号》最难忘的三个月酸甜苦辣俱全

　　最专业的一次：动用天文望远镜

　　万里国际学校是周星驰最信赖的大本营。里面红外线监控，工作人员审查；外面保安把守，公安巡逻。即使是这样的铜墙铁壁，记者还是拍到了周星驰在校园后门说戏、赤膊跑步等珍贵画面。这些画面要归功于一架高倍的天文望远镜。因为当时找的拍摄点是与万里国际毗邻的蛟川书院，离拍摄地点有400多米距离，这可不是一般的相机能做到的。幸好从市青少年宫借了一架高倍天文望远镜。有了天文望远镜的帮助，远在天边的星星都近在咫尺，更不用说400米开外的“星爷”了。可惜天文望远镜目镜要和相机镜头对焦还真不是件容易的事情，刚把望远镜的焦距调好相机的焦距不对了，相机焦距对了望远镜的又走样了。半小时下来，眼睛酸了，头晕了，连胃也开始犯酸。原来对焦久了也会“晕镜”。

　　　最恐怖的一次：江北木材厂拍“飞碟”

　　白天跟踪还算好的，最可怕的是郊外的夜戏。听说江北木材厂的夜戏会亮“飞碟”，傍晚时分记者就赶往木材厂。到了江北才知道那到处都是木材厂。步行一个多小时才找到片场，当时天已经全黑。深秋晚上江风吹在脸上身上一阵阵发冷。冷点累点倒无所谓，可恶的是飞碟一直躲在杂物堆里，任凭围观的人千呼万唤都不出来。实在冷得厉害，记者只好暂时撤离到街边找了个暖和的地方喝口热汤。晚上10点，当记者再次来到片场时，围观的人所剩无几，飞碟也露出半边脸。正高兴呢，摸黑找隐蔽的地方，突然从木材堆里蹿出几条大狗，张口就叫。幸好躲闪及时，没有伤到也没有被剧组发现。更幸好的是及时抓拍到飞碟上天的珍贵瞬间，总算不辱使命。

　　最尴尬的一次：溜进产房拍周星驰

　　在宁大附属医院拍摄的是周星驰“因公殉职”的夜戏。把医院走了个遍，发现最佳拍摄观察地点竟是妇产科的一个病房。更巧的是这间病房正好空着，来不及细想就摸黑安营扎寨。刚端起相机，突然进来两个人，开了房间的灯。强光刺得眼睛都睁不开，定睛一看原来是两个年轻护士。看到这样的场景护士也呆住了，“你们是？”“嘘”，记者赶紧示意，指了指相机，“记者”。护士望了望窗外，看了看相机，好像什么都明白了，也用食指放在嘴唇上“嘘”了一声，还把灯关了，然后悄悄退了出去。后来，护士告诉记者，当时记者驻扎的病房警示铃突然响起来，还以为有产妇需要帮忙，所以赶过来看看，想不到这“产妇”竟是记者。

精彩花絮
　　周星驰，又回来了，在他的故乡宁波，一部名为《长江七号》的影片已投入拍摄近一个月，这部被媒体称为“科幻”的电影其实成全了现代人的一个童话。当内地三位大导演都对古装武侠大片投去注目礼时，另一种大片终于来到，包裹在科幻背景下的成年人童话，正在来临。一双破旧的解放鞋，一条看起来很久没洗过的深蓝色背带裤，再加上一件皱巴巴的灰色西服，胡子头发都有些斑白的周星驰以这个造型，演绎一个流落城市街头的流浪汉，当然你也可以把他看做一个“格格不入”的外星来客。

　　此前报道说《长江七号》的英文名字就是“A Hope”，一个希望，一个周星驰的希望，或者中国大片的另外一种希望。

　　流浪汉：宁波危房的拾荒者

　　周星驰在影片中扮演一位流浪汉，身着一套简直“捡垃圾”款式的衣服，那双堪称绝版的“解放鞋”甚至可与《少林足球》中的那双“足球鞋”相比，而外套显然是捡来的二手货，那件没有里子的破西装，实在好似一个“玩笑”。穿着这样一套行头的周星驰竟然就在宁波的“银泰商厦”门口开始“逛街”了。

　　这位流浪汉其实就住在不远处的一个小楼上，那是一片工地，所有的房子都拆迁了，孤零零地就剩下一座三层的楼。所有的外墙都已倾倒，只剩下可以遮挡风雨的断壁残垣。周星驰在戏里有家爱儿子，在戏外他对这孩子毫无办法，好动的孩子经常爬高上低，然而除了叫他小心之外，星爷也没有其他办法。

　　“女”儿子：和爸爸寻找到“宝贝”

　　剧中那个生活在社会最底层的流浪汉，却依然对自己的孩子充满爱意。那个孩子短发，身体羸弱，穿着同样破旧的衣服，和一双明显是捡来的前后开口的大人皮鞋。虽然是穷人的孩子，但也很活泼爱玩，并一直羡慕有个玩具，当然这对于爸爸似乎太难了。但“买不起”可以捡，逛了半天商场毫无收获的流浪汉最终在一个垃圾桶中发现了“宝贝”。

　　这个孩子眉目清秀，并且和“爸爸”周星驰有几分神似，古灵精怪却弱不禁风。然而“他”却是个女儿身，这个女孩子似乎对自己的表演非常满意，并赞叹出四个字“不可思议”。

　　外星人：“宝贝”是他们的重要装置

　　捡来的“宝贝”不仅是儿子的玩具，更是外星人的一个装置，一个属于未来世界的装置。在日本动画《机器猫》里，你就可以把“叮当”和“宝贝”联系在一起，而周星驰也非常喜欢这部动画片。“宝贝”的到来完全颠覆了流浪汉父子的生活。

　　在另一边，外星人正在浩瀚的宇宙中焦急地寻找自己的装置，并且不要给人类带来麻烦，于是外星人就不时造访流浪汉父子，希望能取回装置，那是他们的宝贝。于是这出父子之爱的戏就得以继续上演了。

　　星女郎：周星驰不会炒掉她

　　星女郎的故事最近“走热”了。据说因一个小小的双眼皮手术，周星驰几乎要把她“炒掉”。宁波的不少市民都见过了周星驰新挑选的这个上海女孩。张雨绮前几天还和周星驰及剧组的其他人一起吃饭，饭桌上关系非常融洽，虽然张雨绮的戏分事实上还并未完全展开，但也一直和剧组住在宁波。周星驰从未想过要“炒”她，甚至还安排了不少新片给她，据说在完成这部戏之后，她将在不少电影中露脸，成为黄圣依之后星辉公司全力力捧的对象。

　　大导演：用高科技武装出来

　　当《少林足球》、《功夫》等影片慢慢改变了周星驰一向的“爆笑”印记后，越来越成熟的他正尝试一种类似于《ET》的题材，带有漫画、童话和科幻色彩，要表达自己对“亲情”的理解。

　　周星驰蹲在宁波闹市的街头，里里外外围了上百人，他就那么蹲着，很自若也很严肃。为了满足自导自演的要求，他甚至装备了“一部手机”，这部“手机”事实上就足够“未来科技”了，它是一个无线的监视器，事实上，两部摄影机的图像直接传到了作为演员的导演面前，自己的位置、机位和镜头他直接就能看到。“大导演”周星驰就这样确保了自己能够准确掌握自己的电影。

　　好场面：以外星技术锻造

　　接下来的戏将在三栋还在建设的高楼工地继续。当人们对在竹林间飞舞的侠客“腻味”时，超重力的未来镜头将源于“外星”技术。在宁波的万里国际学校，就曾经有外星人飘然落下水池的精彩表现，而新的楼宇间也将上演周星驰的“分行”镜头，32楼的“高度”确保了这种视觉效果的惊人。

　　并非所有的视觉效果都是侠客能完成的，我们只能期待出现《ET》中那充满想象力的惊人画面——月光安静地洒向大地，孩子们的自行车腾空而起。周星驰“童话”式大片中何尝不能出现这样的场景呢？

　　有市场：星爷本来就是票房保证

　　周星驰本来就是票房的保证，当《少林足球》和《功夫》延续他的成功后，我们也就不会对《长江七号》的票房抱有任何怀疑。几天前投资方的代表，中影集团领导韩三平悄然来到宁波给周星驰打气，并很有信心地告诉周星驰，下个月影片票房的保底、贴片广告的保底、碟片版权的保底都能签好。周星驰听后，突然幽默了：“什么还要下个月？”

　　周星驰正在制作各种不同的大片形式，而从《卧虎藏龙》开始的武侠大片，也正在渐渐走向“冷门”。这时，其它形式的电影正在不断寻找属于自己的天地，显然已经有足够的市场摆在周星驰前面。

　　一个不同的角度

　　电影《长江七号》拍摄尚未过半，却已经吸引了媒体足够的目光，周星驰的名字显然是关键。而这全新的题材却更透露出另外一种美，虽然披上了科幻的外衣，戴上“外星人”的皇冠，但却实实在在想继续诉说小人物的命运，很多影片的参与者都表示这部电影事实上并无所谓外星的故事，而是一个城市童话，内容凸显了伟大的父子之爱。

　　这是完全风味不同的另外一种风格，中国并非只有武侠故事，并非只有仗剑行走的侠客才能诠释东方浪漫主义，也绝不是林间的凌波微步才能造就银幕上的视觉奇观。我们更需要其他不一样的东西，那些可以疯狂搞笑、或者惊奇悚动，或者就编一个属于小人物与外星人的故事。穿得破破的周星驰已经拍了一部很不同的《功夫》，但并没继续下去，他觉得换一个题材也不错，于是有了《长江七号》。周星驰电影来源于另外一个全新的角度。

香港有兩個姓名接近的導演﹐他們分別是劉觀偉和劉鎮偉﹐有人還誤會以為他們是同一個人﹐也有人以為他們是兩兄弟﹐會有這種混亂的感覺﹐除了是他們名字只有中間一字不同外﹐兩人都以鬼片成名﹐前者就是以上兩個月曾談及的《殭屍先生》而稱紅﹐而后者卻以87年的這部賣座片《猛鬼差館》出人頭地。

《猛鬼差館》是劉鎮偉的導演處男作﹐與《殭屍先生》是一脈相承﹐影片揉合了恐怖和現代喜劇電影特色于一身﹐又無強大卡士演員作號召﹐認真來說只是通俗娛樂性豐富的噱頭喜劇片﹐劇情誇張而近于胡鬧﹐但資深的影迷們應該記得港片80年代的全盛期﹐給影迷信心十足﹐只要能拍出專業水準而又讓大家看得過癮﹐大家就會捧場﹐而本片正符合了一般觀眾的這種要求而旺台。

真假鬼碰面
本片的故事是說香港郊區的一間警察局的前身原是世界二次大戰時日本軍的一個俱樂部﹐一位當年切腹自殺的日軍變成猛鬼﹐並在盂蘭節從鬼門關跑了出來﹐而這警察局的警察張學友和許冠英矇然不知﹐還開玩笑的扮鬼來嚇被他們扣留的嫌疑犯樓南光﹐影片就是以真鬼假鬼的碰面﹐再加上迷人女鬼來製造出不停的笑料和驚險場面﹐達到了那種令觀眾又驚又喜﹐又害怕又愛看的效果目的。

今天在光碟中重看此片﹐雖然會覺得它其實拍得相當粗糙﹐但卻勝在手法熟練﹐而又熱鬧過癮﹐不會像當今的鬼片不斷以血腥核突﹐恐怖駭人的鏡頭唬人。

《猛鬼差館》屬于群戲﹐但卻以當時在歌壇上地位已扶搖直上的張學友擔正﹐不過他的演技在當時還是很嫩﹐外型還是個年輕學生多過警察﹐很不自然﹐幸好有許冠英和樓南光兩位喜劇高手的襯托﹐才幫他遮掩了不少弱點﹐本片最難忘的一場戲是樓南光被女鬼迷﹐帶她到日軍俱樂部的鬼域﹐和三鬼打麻將﹐自己也變得人不人﹐鬼不鬼﹐滑稽又可憐。

Dear IT Support,
Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a slow down in the overall performance, particularly in the flower, gifts and jewellery applications that had operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.
In addition, Husband 1.0 un-installed many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, but installed undesirable programs such as Formula One 5.0, NBA 3.0 and World Cup 2.0.
And now Conversation 8.0 no longer runs and House Cleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.
What can I do?

Dear Desperate Housewife,
First keep in mind:
Boyfriend 5.0 is an entertainment package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system.
Try entering the command C:\ I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME and download Tears 6.2 to install Guilt 3.0.
If all works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewellery 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.
But remember, overuse can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Late Night Teh Tarik 6.1.
Late Night 6.1 is a very bad program that will create SnoringLoudly.wav files.
Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-Law 1.0 or reinstall another Boyfriend program. These are not supported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.
In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have a limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly.
You might consider additional software to improve memory and performance. I personally recommend Hot Tasty Food 3.0 and Tongkat Ali 6.9.

我是东方航空公司的一名普通的空姐，由于参加工作没几年，所以没有遇到一件叫人难忘的大事，天天都是在端茶倒水的小事中度过。没有工作的激情，很平淡。今天我们执行航班时，旅客很多，满满的一飞机。上飞机的人群中就有一位很不起眼的农村老伯伯，背着一个大麻袋身上还有一股农村特有的土炕味。当时站在机门迎客的我第一个反映就是现在的社会还真发达了，连农村老伯伯都有钱作飞机，真奢侈。当飞机平飞时，我们开始加水，加到20多排时，看到了这位老伯伯，他很据谨的坐在座位上，直挺挺的，一动不动，麻袋也不放在行李架上,老伯伯抱着大麻袋，乍一看象是个支着地球的地球仪，直挺挺象个雕塑。问他喝什么，他很惊慌的连连摆手说不要。要帮他把麻袋放在架子上，他也拒绝。只好由着他抱着了。过一会，开始发餐了，我们发现他还是一动不动的坐在座位上，感觉好象很紧张的样子，给他饭他还是连连摆手不要。于是乘务长过去亲切的问他是不是病了。他很小声的说他要上厕所，但是不知道飞机上能不能乱跑，怕碰坏了飞机上的东西。我们告诉他没关系的，并叫一个男空保带他去了厕所。等我们第二次加水的时候，发现他看着别的客人喝水，在舔嘴，于是没有问他就帮他倒了一杯热茶水给他放在桌子上。谁知，这样一个动作却惊吓住了他，他蹦一下跳起来连连说不用不用，我们对他说您渴了，就喝点吧。这时他做了一个更惊人的动作,从怀里掏出一把钱，都是一快一毛的，要塞给我们。我们告诉他说这是不要钱的，他不相信，说他在街上走的时候进去要水喝别人都从来没给过他，都是很厌恶的赶他走。我们这才知道，他为了节约钱，一路上能不座车就走，硬是从郊区走到机场附近才坐的车到了机场，他身上没多少钱，只能问路上的餐厅要水，可惜大多数时候都是被赶出来，别人以为他是要饭的。我们劝了好一阵子，他才相信了我们，坐下，慢慢的喝着茶。我们问他饿不饿，要不要吃饭，他还是连连说不要，他说他有两个儿子，都很争气，考了大学，小儿子在上大三，大儿子已经工作了。着次他来北京看他上大学的小儿子，由于大儿子已经工作了，想把他们两口子接到城里来跟自己住，可是老两口不习惯，住了一阵又回乡下了。这次是大儿子不想让老爹周车劳顿特意买的飞机票，本来想陪老爹一起去，因为老爹没坐过飞机怕他不认识路，可是老爹嫌飞机票太浪费死活不肯作。后来劝通了，老爹怎么也不叫儿子在买一张票浪费钱，坚持自己一个人来。他背了一麻袋的红薯干，要给小儿子吃。上飞机前安检时，工作人员说麻袋太大叫拖运，可是他死活不肯，说怕弄碎了小儿子不喜欢吃了。我们告诉他说放在架子上很安全的，他警惕的站起来看了半天才小心的放上去。在航班期间我们一直很勤的给他加水，他都很有礼貌的谢谢我们。可是他还是一直坚持不吃饭。尽管我们看出来他已经饿的咕咕叫。到飞机快落地的时候，他很小心的问我们有没有袋子，给他一个，并要求我们把他自己的那份饭装好提给他。他说他从来没见过这么好吃的东西，他要带给他的小儿子。我们都惊住了。对于我们来说，天天见的饭菜，在一个农村老人眼里是这样的珍贵。他自己舍不得吃，饿着，要留给他的儿子。于是我们把剩余没有发的餐都装好了准备给他，可是他很惊慌的拒绝了，他说他只要属于他自己的那份，不占别人的便宜。我们都被这样的一个老人感动了。虽然不是什么大事，但是却深刻的教育了我。本来以为事情结束了，谁知道在别的客人下完以后，他最后下飞机，我们帮助他把麻袋提到了出口，正准备帮他背上，他做出了一个让我一辈子都忘不了的动作：他扑通一声跪在地下，老泪纵横的给我们磕头，一边磕一边说“你们真是大好人，我们农村人一天只吃一顿饭，从来没和过这样甜的水，见过这样好的饭，今天你们不嫌弃我，这么热情的对我，我真不知道怎么样赶紧你们，希望你们好人有好报。”一边跪一边说一边哭，我们大家慌忙扶起他，连连劝他，并交代一个地面服务员将他安顿好，我们才回飞机上继续执行我们的任务，说实在话，工作了5年，飞机上什么样的客人都见过了，野蛮的，打人的，无理取闹的，就是没见过给我们下跪的，说实在的我们真没有做什么特别的事，就是给他老人家多倒了两杯水，竟要这个70多岁的老伯伯跪下谢我们，再加上看这他背着一麻袋红薯干，自己不肯吃宁愿饿着把飞机上的饭带下去给儿子，还不肯多要别人的饭贪便宜，我真为我自己感到内疚，我以后要学会感恩学会报答别人。是这个老伯伯教会我怎么去善良正直的活着。

What is Batik ?

Batik (pronounced 'Bah-Teak') is a technique used to dye fabrics. Batiking is a relatively straightforward process that often produces beautiful results.
First, melted wax is applied to the fabric in the areas that are to be free of dye. There are various methods used to apply the liquid wax, but brushing or directly pouring the wax are the most common. Once the molten wax cools, it hardens and penetrates into the fabric. Next the fabric is soaked in dye. The wax prevents dye from penetrating onto the fabric and therefore keeps those areas of fabric in their original color.
To remove the wax after the dyeing process, a solvent can be used. Alternatively, the hardened wax can be pressed out with an iron; the hot surface melts the wax it is pressed through the fabric. If a multiple-colored design is desired, the process is repeated for each color.
Many fabrics can be used for batiking, but plain, light colored cotton seems to work best. Cracks in the wax allow thin lines of dye to penetrate through to the fabric which gives batik its characteristic appearance.

家庭背景：

父母帮人包伙食为生，有六兄弟姊妹，林正英排行第三，与哥姐一样，林正英也没机会读书，唯独其弟妹可以读多几年书。

入戏行：

小学二年级便缀学，十一、二岁被父亲送入春秋剧社学戏，拜粉菊花为师，尊龙、惠天赐、孟海、董玮乃同门师兄弟。

林正英受训半年後即投入演出，第一个剧目叫《白沙滩》，但他的京剧生涯只维持了三、四年，经朋友介绍下转行入电影圈。

电影生涯：

第一部电影叫《金刀大侠》，由岳??导演，郑佩佩做女主角，片中林正英扮个和尚仔。

从影二十多年，所拍电影不少过五十部，八八年自导自演了首部电影《一眉道人》，不过却因制作费超支，连导演费也收不到。

林正英拍得最多的是僵屍片，八十年代初凭《败家仔》及《僵屍先生》奠定师傅地位。最後一部电影是九四年作品《青锋侠》。

婚姻状况：

早在八三年，林正英与前妻郑冰冰结婚，婚姻维持了五年多便亮红灯，期间前妻为他诞下一子（家耀）及一女（式瓦），离婚後，一对子女的抚养权却归父方，林正英亦决心将子女送往美国留学，计划到子女长大後，自己亦移居美国养老。离婚後与父母同住，方便照顾一子一女，女儿今年十二岁，读中二，儿子今年九岁，读小学五年级。子女爱看他的戏，自动录下爸爸演戏的录影带，少说也储存了四十多盒。

林正英爱好家庭生活，父母、兄弟均同住西贡区，他在九一年时曾在西贡开酒廊。

3 同事可以是患难知己

5 常很露骨的拍上司的马屁

错了！有些上司希望听到所有角度的讯息，但是大部分的经理级不会，他们也是普通人。也就是说，他们宁可听到好消息而不是坏消息，嘿！那就是阿谀奉承，拍马屁吗？差不多，只是有技巧与心意的区别：经理您今天看起来好年轻，这样子的话是很明显的，上司不是笨蛋，你昧着良心的话他/她也听得出来。

你要找出他/她真正让你佩服之处，然后适时赞美，就像你的父母夸赞你房间很干净，当你考满分时学校老师夸赞你一样。“经理，你昨天的处理方式，让我们能够把任务顺利进行，多亏有你出马”。你看，没有拍在马腿上，以后你做事肯定会顺多了
